2019 Hilltop Fall Festival

The Hilltop Festival is held the first Saturday of October in our historic Downtown. It is our favorite way to usher in fall and one of the most popular festivals of the year. A true family-favorite, it all begins on Friday night with the annual "Race for the Gold" Soapbox Derby. Individual teams compete under the lights for the trophy and bragging rights for the next year!

Saturday, join us as we celebrate Bechtler Gold Day from the headquarters of the NC Gold Trail, in partnership with the Tourism Asset Foundation, featuring the "NC Gold Album Live". 

Begin the day with the annual Purple Martin 7K race taking off at 8:30 am, followed by the Tour de Pumpkin bike race at 9:00 am.
