Rutherfordton Chosen to Host a Mural Mosaic
Rutherfordton has been chosen to host the amazing American Horizon Mural Mosaic’s Global Roots international mural set to be unveiled on April 22, 22025.
Mural Mosaic’s Global Roots is a unique initiative that aims to bring people from around the world together through the power of art. Each collaborative Mural Mosaic production invites people from communities everywhere to connect and celebrate their unity through their diverse expressions of art. With each tile placed in a mural, Global Roots is reconnecting the world through the joy of art – one tile, one mural mosaic, one country at a time.
We are honored to have the privilege to host such a wonderful project, especially in the aftermath of Helene and its lasting effects on Western North Carolina. Our Appalachian roots are strong and this mural really hits home for us as we stand our ground, rebuild and look to the future.
How Can I Be A Part Of This?

Corporate Sponsorships available for a donation of $500 or $1000.

$500 - logo featured on the mural webpage for explorerutherfordton.com and receive a social media spotlight on the reveal event page.

$1000 - all the $500 perks plus a plaque on the mural wall and the opportunity to set up a table at the reveal event to showcase your company to attendees.

Paint a tile, and be part of the mural itself. We have the opportunity to submit up to 200 tiles to the mural.
