Rutherfordton continues to develop ways for locals and visitors to get outside and interact with both nature and each other. The newest activity is the installation of Play Prints at Crestview Park. Located at the beginning of the Purple Martin Greenway, Crestview Park has long been a gathering place for outdoor fun as it boasts a picnic area, that can be reserved, a playground for both toddlers and older kids, several ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, bathrooms and a walking trail. Now these colorful hand painted Play Prints add even more interactive games for kids and adults! Come on adults, you know you can’t resist a hop scotch board, especially when it looks like a robot!
This could not be made possible without a grant from NC Recreation & Park Association with support from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Creating imaginative play out of underutilized areas within the park is a win for us all!
